Ardbeg 1972/32 years Single Cask 866: €3.495,00
This excellent Islay malt was distilled on the 24th March 1972, in bourbon cask number 866 at Ardbeg distillery, and was specially bottled for Oddbins on the 24th August 2004 where these bottles reportedly sold out within 90 minutes. Scoring a huge 93 points with the experts at WhiskyFun, this 32 year old is one of just 239 and comes with its original presentation case.

Ardbeg 1990 Cask Strenght: €799,95
This Ardbeg 1990 was bottled at cask strength in 2004. This was a limited release of 1140 bottles for Japan.

Ardbeg 1991/13 years Old Malt Cask: €299,95
Ardbeg 1991, bottled in 2004 for the Old Malt Cask. Limited to 338 bottles, Refill Bourbon Hogshead, DL 1565.

Ardbeg 1993/10 years Old Malt Cask: €349,95
This 10-year old Islay was distilled in 1993 and bottled from cask #1248 in April 2004 for the Old Malt Cask range. Supplied in combination with a 200ml advance sample. The 70cl bottle is limited to 341 bottles, the 200ml sample even in smaller quantities, usually somewhere between 150-200 flasks.

Ardbeg 1998/11 years Chieftain’s: €199,95
This 11-year old Ardbeg was distilled in July 1998 and bottled October 2009 for Ian MacLeod’s Chieftain’s range. Limited to 5070 bottles from a total of 8 casks.

Ardbeg 30 years Very Old: €1.595,00
Until 1977, Ardbeg used to malt its barley on his own floor maltings, a very peaty malt whose DNA can be found in this Ardbeg 30 years Very Old which appeared for the first time in the late 1990’s. This is an exceptionally rare and highly collectable bottling and is one of the last whiskies released before Ardbeg closed for a period. A powerful malt, smoked, iodised and marked by notes of spice, licorice, peat and varnishes, it has been hailed as one of the greatest of all time.

Ardbeg Alligator: €299,95
Ardbeg Alligator was released in 2012. Alligator owned his name to the inner side of the casks which where cracked, due to heavily charring, and the reassemblence with Alligator skin gave this Islay it’s name.

Ardbeg Ardbog: €199,95
The 2013 Ardbeg Day whisky is called Ardbog, released on June 1st initially as an Embassy exclusive. Taking inspiration from their last few releases, this is a down to earth whisky, concerned with the history uncovered as you dig deep into the peat bogs of Islay. The whisky is a vatting of 10 year old spirit, some matured in bourbon casks and some in manzanilla casks for a balanced of soft, sweet and earthy flavours.

Ardbeg Auriverdes: €199,95
Ardbeg’s Limited Edition for 2014: Auriverdes. Released May 31, 2014

Ardbeg Auriverdes Gold: €2.995,00
Ardbeg’s Limited Edition for 2014: Auriverdes. Released May 31, 2014. Besides the regular bottle the distillery came up with a extremely limited edition bottle which was covered in gold, given out to some lucky VIPs. Obviously they where unhappy with the fact that their gifts where auctioned in a flash so it might as well be the very last time they have issued something like this.

Ardbeg Black Cove: €149,95
Launched for Feis Isle 2016 Ardbeg Dark Cove is the darkest Ardbeg yet, matured in ex-Bourbon casks.

Ardbeg Blasda: €199,95
In 2008 Ardbeg launched Blasda, which stands for ‘delicious and tasty’ in Gaelic, as a mildly peated Islay, ideal for those who disapprove a very heavy smoky taste.

Ardbeg Perpetuum: €199,95
Released in 2015 to celebrate both Ardbeg Day and the distilleries 200th anniversay, this is a no-age statement Islay whisky.

Ardbeg Supernova 2009 Committee: €995,00
The Ardbeg 2009 Supernova Advanced Committee Release shocked and rocked the whiskyworld at it’s introduction. All 3000 bottles where sold in just a few hours which might be common practice in 2016 but shocking in 2009.

Ardbeg Supernova 2009 Stellar Release: €449,95
At it’s introduction in 2009 this was the heaviest peated Ardbeg released till then. Jim Murray awarded it with a near-perfect 97 points.

Ardbeg Supernova SN2010: €399,95
Supernova was brought back by popular demand in 2010.

The 2010 expression was out of this world – even deeper, stronger and earthier than the award-winning 2009 edition. Peated to more than 100 parts per million Supernova is the peatiest Ardbeg ever and quite simply heavenly. Supernova SN2010 challenges the palate with a smoke and salt explosion – hot, sizzling and gristy sensations effervesce and explode on the tongue with a powerful peaty punch. Black and white crushed pepper pop with chilli and chocolate. Chewy sweet rolling tobacco, linseed oil and newly tanned leather roll backwards on a wave of brininess and burst of juicy lime marmalade. Cigar smoke builds up to a crescendo before drying out to bring dark roast earthy coffee, toasted almonds and liquorice root.

Ardbeg Supernova SN2014 Committee Release: €499,95
Supernova was brought back by popular demand in 2010.

The 2010 expression was out of this world – even deeper, stronger and earthier than the award-winning 2009 edition. Then, after 2010 the Supernova was gone, it took the distillery 4 years to announce the release of Ardbeg Supernova 2014. The release was timed perfectly to coincide with the return of the drops of Ardbeg that have circled the Earth on the International Space Station for the past couple of years. These drops will of course not be found in the Ardbeg Supernova 2014, or any other whisky for that matter. This sample was part of an experiment to see how zero gravity affects alcoholic liquid like Ardbeg.

Ardbeg Ten Ultimate: €199,95
The “Ultimate” was a special release in France for Father’s Day 2010, and the offering consisted of a standard “New” TEN bottle with a special Black leather display box and chain latch. 1,000 of these were released for sale by La Maison du Whisky.

Ardbeg Uigeadail (2005): €199,95
This Ardbeg Uigedail was bottled in 2005 at the, now dismanted, Cramond line. It was the last year Ardbeg’s where sold in this type of olive green boxes. Bottle-code: L5 290 0844 4ML.
>>> Anmerkung >>>
Hier beim Uigeadail muss man anscheinend sehr aufpassen. Die aktuellen Abfüllungen (2017) werden um die €60 (+/-) in den Shops verkauft. Es ist also nicht jeder Ardbeg auch ein sinnvolles Investment <<<

Ardbeg Kelpie (2017)

Beitrag von Frank »

Ardbeg Kelpie Committee Release 2017 - 0,7l
Alc.: 51,7%

Edit:
Ardbeg’s general release of Kelpie at 46% ABV, launches on Ardbeg Day (3rd June), the expression will be available to purchase from Ardbeg Embassies for a two week exclusive period. Ardbeg Kelpie will then be available at Ardbeg Embassies, whisky specialists and department stores with a RRP of £98.00.
